This blog is an interactive place where you can share your writing with your classmates. The blog creates a great place for writing because it can easily be seen by other students in our class, and you can respond to your classmates' work, taking their ideas further. The blog format is meant to be less formal and more creative than the academic essays you write in class. This is where you can explore your voice as a writer, and take some risks with your style and ideas. Happy blogging!

Child, East Side
This picture shows a little girl walking through a garden of an old destroyed house only wearing a diaper. The houses in the back are abandoned and wear down. On the grown were the girl is walking around its filled with garbage all over the ground. You can barely see the ground from all the things that have been dumped. This picture makes me feel so sad, and I think proven the conditions of Detroit. You can see the houses from the "American Dream" in the background been destroyed and become a dump site. I also think its touching because of the little girl walking with now clothes in these conditions, because the message I think the picture is communicating that this is the children's future in Detroit if we don't make a change.

I agree that this image symbolizes the unfortunate future for the child. The picture is all distorted and blurry maybe this symbolizes that her future is not set in stone. She may have a chance if changes are made.
