What I enjoyed and what worked well:
I enjoyed the video about the author to see what type of person he seems to be. It's like a first impression of him to see if his writing will be enjoyable to you. The slides were well organizes and had a lot of information to support points. The explanation about the cover worked well, and the questions asked to the audience to interact worked as well.
What I learned from this presentation:
I learned about the title and how it related to The Iron Curtain from Europe but "Tortilla" replaces "Iron" which also plays an important role in the novel. I also learned about the author and how he has awarded pieces of writing. Lastly, I learned about the area on how the rich people living luxuriously separated themselves from the immigrants that were living like homeless people.
Comments/Questions:
Even though time ran out and the excerpts were read, I like the presentation because the group provided a lot of information and explanations.
